Many towers have been built in Bautzen over the centuries; more than 15 of them currently mark the city skyline. The Wendish Tower is one of them. Part of the medieval town fortifications, it is located on the north-eastern edge of the old town. Like the Imperial Tower, the round Wendish Tower was built between 1490 and 1492.
