The Brühl’sche Garten in the middle of Dresden’s Old Town – near the new synagogue, the Albertinum and Dresden’s Neumarkt with the world-famous Frauenkirche and other Dresden sights – is considered the most beautiful terrace in Dresden. Here you can follow in the footsteps of the Saxon statesman and minister Heinrich von Brühl and marvel at the historic Kanonenhof with its casemate walls and the Hofgärtnerhaus (court gardener’s house) dating from 1739. Above the old Kanonenhof, a modern restaurant directly on the Brühl Terrace invites visitors to linger. Events are also regularly held here, which always have a special flair due to the combination of history and modernity.
