Situated high above the Jagst valley, Langeburg Castle looks like something out of a fairy tale. The princes of Hohenlohe-Langenburg have been based here since the 17th century, after the previous castle was converted into a residential palace. In addition to the impressive Reniassance-style courtyard, the baroque garden and the orangery are also worth seeing. The latter can be rented today for weddings and festivities. Since 1970, Langenburg Castle has also been home to Germany’s first classic car museum. A highlight for visitors is the Fürstliche Gartentage (Princely Garden Days), held every year on the first weekend in September at Langenburg Castle. The largest garden fair in southern Germany has been held in the baroque garden complex since 2004.
