The New Castle in Kißlegg in Upper Swabia was built between 1721 and 1727 by the master builder Johann Georg Fischer from Füssen. Beautifully situated in a spacious English-style castle park, the baroque castle impresses with its magnificent rooms, the imposing rococo staircase and the ornate wall paintings and stucco ceilings. Both the interiors of the palace and the palace chapel can be visited, and wedding ceremonies are regularly held in the palace’s chandelier hall. This gives visitors a unique insight into the life of the nobility in earlier times. In addition, the New Castle Kißlegg regularly hosts cultural events such as the Castle Experience Day, the International Museum Day or various exhibitions.
