The Bavarian Forest is the oldest and largest nature park in Germany. On its hills and mountains grows an original mixed mountain forest with beech, fir and spruce trees. If you want to enjoy this at close quarters, you should visit the tree-top walk constructed here, which at 1300 metres is one of the longest of its kind in Germany. You walk up a “tree tower”, visible from afar and constructed like an egg, in an ascending circle and have an increasingly impressive view of the forest. From the very top, you can see the Bavarian Forest as far as the eye can see in all directions.
