Binz is the largest seaside resort on the island of Rügen. The bay of Binz is home to around 11 kilometres of beautiful fine sandy beach. The first guesthouses and hotels were built here as early as 1900. The avenue-like beach promenade is lined with old lime trees and fashionable beach villas in picturesque spa style look out over the sea. You can also admire many beautiful white villas on a stroll through the town and, of course, shop, drink coffee and eat well. All this makes Rügen one of the most popular and most visited holiday destinations on the island.
