Binz is the largest seaside resort on the island of Rügen. The bay of Binz has about 11 km of beautiful fine-grained sandy beach. The first guesthouses and hotels were built here around 1900. The avenue-like beach promenade is lined with old lime trees and chic beach villas in picturesque seaside style look out over the sea. Strolling through the town, you can also admire many beautiful white villas and, of course, shop, drink coffee and eat well. All this makes Rügen one of the most popular and most visited holiday destinations on the island.
