Venue, museum and much more ...

From the 13th century until the 16th century, Katzenstein Castle was the ancestral seat of the noble family of Katzenstein and gave its name to the Katzenstein suburb of Dischingen in the district of Heidenheim in Baden-Württemberg. The castle has been privately owned since 1939 and was opened to the public in 1997. Katzenberg Castle is a popular sight on the Staufer Road and a venue for weddings, corporate events and markets. You can also visit the castle’s own museum and the castle inn. As one of the oldest preserved Staufer castles, Katzenstein Castle has also served as one of 26 information points of the Swabian Alb UNESCO Geopark since October 2007.
