Between the Zoobrücke and the Tanzbrunnen lies a well-known tourist attraction of the cathedral city: the Rheinpark. In addition to the unique view of Cologne’s old town, there are many attractions here that regularly attract visitors. For example, the Rhine Park can be crossed by a small railway set up for the Federal Garden Show in 1957 – great fun especially for children. The station of the popular Rhine cable car is also located here in the park. Some buildings, sculptures and water features are reminiscent of the two Federal Garden Shows held here in 1957 and 1971. Other highlights of the Rhine Park are the large adventure playground, the skate park and the large sunbathing lawns and pebble beach directly on the Rhine.
