Originally, there was a castle on the same site from the Staufer period, of which a vaulted cellar can still be seen today. Today, Filseck Castle in Uhingen, Baden-Württemberg, presents itself as a four-winged castle in the Renaissance style. The building in its current form only came into being over the course of the centuries. At the end of the 16th century, the north wing was added to the Staufer residential tower. In the 18th century the second floor on the east wing followed and in the 19th century the modern farm building. Today, Filseck Castle serves as a conference venue and a venue for numerous cultural events such as concerts and exhibitions. The Renaissance castle is also popular as an excursion destination.
