Swabian cosiness in Günzburg

Do you know the longest street café in Swabia? That’s what Günzburg’s market square likes to be called in the summer months, when the popular meeting place for guests and locals is even more crowded than usual. If you prefer to take a look at the beautiful little town from above, you have to climb the town’s landmark: the town tower. From here you can even see as far as the Alps. Another special sight is Günzburg’s Frauenkirche, a true rococo jewel by the famous master builder Dominikus Zimmermann. Here you can discover not only a church within a church, but also a picture of the historic sea battle of Lepanto and a ceiling fresco with a crocodile.
