There are several treetop trails in Germany. One of them is in the unspoilt Hainich National Park in the Thuringian Forest and is a “must” for holidaymakers who enjoy the forest. With a viewing platform at a height of 44 metres, it is the highest treetop path in Germany. Before you can see over the tops of the primeval forest trees from there, you walk a path that snakes through the trees for more than 500 metres from the lower treetop area to the tops. From the very top, you can then see over the forests of the Hainich National Park to the mountain ranges of the Thuringian Forest.
