Theme village under the sign of the wildcat

The focus here is on the heraldic animal of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Hainich National Park: the wildcat. In the wild cat village Hütscheroda in Thuringia you can marvel at the shy animals in an extensive show enclosure and learn a lot of interesting facts about the wild cats. Opened on 01.04.2012, the wild cat village in Hütscheroda consists in detail of a wild cat barn – an old half-timbered barn, which was converted into a modern information center. In addition, there are many opportunities to observe the animals themselves with the 7 km long wildcat trail with the Hainichblick observation tower and the wildcat glade. The wildcat creeping path is a 1.5 km long circular path through the wildcat forest, which offers many play opportunities for small visitors.
