If you are looking for a perfect view of Lake Baldeney, the Korte Klippe is ideal. You can walk there from the car park in five minutes and see the lake in its entirety from the dam wall to the point where it flows into the Ruhr. A few hundred metres to the west is the ivy-covered ruin of Neue Isenburg, built in 1240 and destroyed only about 50 years later. The Baldeneysteig hiking trail runs below the Korte Klippe and can be used to walk around the lake.
