The view from the Munich Olympic Tower is truly unique: from a height of 190 metres, one of the highest towers in Europe offers a view not only of Munich and the surrounding area, but in good weather even as far as the Alpine chain from the Salzkammergut to the Allgäu Alps. The Munich Olympic Tower was built in 1968 in the course of the completion of the Olympic Park for the 1972 Summer Olympics. With a total height of 291.28 metres, the tower is three times higher than the towers of the Munich Frauenkirche. Just like the latter, it is considered a famous landmark of the Bavarian capital. With a café and a restaurant, physical well-being is sufficiently catered for.
