The Niendorf beach is clearly the lively centre of the seaside resort. Tourists and locals meet on the promenade to stroll and linger or to enjoy the delicacies in one of the numerous restaurants. There are also some impressive 19th century villas here. On the extensive sandy beach and in the dunes directly behind it, you can walk for hours and enjoy nature and the fresh breeze from the Baltic Sea. Close by is the new Niendorf pier with a number of attractions such as children’s play equipment and swivel loungers. Niendorf beach also offers wonderful swimming in the various beach sections.
