One of the most impressive sights of the Three Rivers City of Passau is certainly the Old Town Hall from the 15th century. The historic building has a lot to offer in terms of both art history and architecture. The large and small halls inside the town hall are connected by a Gothic staircase dating from 1446. Particularly worth seeing is the Great Hall of the Town Hall, which is designed as a two-nave hall with three bays. After it was destroyed by fires in 1662 and 1680, the cathedral masters Carlo Lurago and Giovanni Battista Carlone oversaw its redesign. The impressive Passau city and history paintings are by the Passau painter Ferdinand Wagner.
