List on Sylt is a popular seaside resort and also the northernmost municipality in Germany. In summer, you can explore the 40-kilometer-long Sylt beach here and unwind while swimming, walking or relaxing in a beach chair. A trip by ferry from Lister harbor to the neighboring Danish island of Rømø is also worthwhile – as are trips to the Wadden Sea, the seal banks and the island’s west coast. In February 2009, another tourist attraction opened its doors: the Sylt Natural Forces Adventure Center. Here, visitors gain an exciting insight into topics relating to environmental and coastal protection as well as North Sea, marine and climate research.
