Überlingen is located on the northern shore of Lake Constance, in southern Germany’s Baden-Württemberg region. The town is one of the most popular destinations on the lake, known for its combination of Mediterranean charm, a historic old town, and its direct lakeside setting. Surrounded by vineyards, rolling hills, and fruit orchards, Überlingen serves as an ideal base for exploring the surrounding region.

In addition to the scenic lakeside promenade, the town features a newly developed waterfront park, created as part of a state garden show. This spacious green area blends natural beauty with modern landscaping and offers peaceful spots right by the water.

Überlingen is also a hub for boat trips on Lake Constance. Regular passenger ferries connect the town with other popular lakeside destinations, such as Meersburg, Konstanz, or the island of Mainau. Hikers and cyclists will find a wide network of trails around the lake and into the nearby countryside.

Within the town, visitors can enjoy narrow alleys, boutique shops, local markets, and a variety of cafés and restaurants. Thanks to its location, Überlingen is also a great starting point for day trips to Switzerland or Austria.
