Not far from the picturesque old town is the lively town harbour of Waren an der Müritz. Along the promenade there are numerous restaurants, cafés and shops that attract both locals and guests of the town with their extensive range of offers. Boat holidaymakers who use one of the moorings in the town harbour also like to stroll along the promenade and enjoy the beautiful view of the water and the colourful hustle and bustle. The harbour of Waren an der Müritz is also the starting point for boat tours on the Müritz and the Mecklenburg Lake District. Highlights are the Müritz Sail in the second half of May and the traditional Müritz Festival, which are held annually in the harbour.
