Do you know the longest half-timbered building in Germany? It is located in Bad Camberg (pop. approx. 14,000) and is used today as an Amthof building. The small town, which is over 1,000 years old, has a row of half-timbered houses worth seeing with a picturesque square in front of it where you can comfortably drink a coffee, and is surrounded by well-preserved remains of the town wall. Other witnesses to the past are the Kreuzkapelle (Chapel of the Cross) and the well-preserved medieval Obertor and Untertort towers.
