Late medieval marketplace with half-timbered houses from the 15th and 16th centuries

In the direct neighbourhood of the Swabian Alb is the picturesque town of Bad Urach. A short hike from here also leads to the Urach Waterfalls. The good air from the surrounding nature has led to Bad Urach being recognised as a climatic health resort. Founded around 1,100, Bad Urach has a very beautiful, well-preserved town centre. If you stand on the large, late-medieval market square – next to the late-Gothic market fountain, for example – you can admire an unbroken row of half-timbered houses from the 15th and 16th centuries all around. If you want, you can enjoy the atmosphere in one of the numerous cafés.
