Gothic church from the 14th century visible from afar

The Gothic hall church looks down on the town from the highest point. Construction began around 1300 and the upper storeys of the distinctive tower, visible from afar, were completed around 1489. The church characterises the townscape of the medieval old town of Bad Wildungen and fits perfectly into its historical ambience. The most valuable piece of equipment is the Wildung winged altar, constructed as early as 1403.
