If you are looking for a sight with a special flair in Berlin, the Hackesche Höfe are the place to go. The grouping of buildings with an Art Nouveau façade is one of Berlin’s most popular sights. The courtyards are located in the Spandau suburb of Berlin Mitte, in the historic Scheunenviertel. The eight courtyards in total were built in 1906 and represent the largest self-contained courtyard area in Germany. You can visit them at any time of the day or night and eat in one of the numerous cafes and restaurants, experience art and culture, shop or simply enjoy the nightlife.
