Central park on Museum Island with historical ambience

If you take a stroll through the Lustgarten in the centre of Berlin in the summer, the green spaces will inevitably invite you to take a break and enjoy the historical atmosphere. Many visitors take advantage of this, either alone or in groups. The boundaries of the Lustgarten are the Old Museum to the north, the Berlin Cathedral to the east, the Berlin Palace to the south and the Spree Canal to the west. The garden was laid out in 1573 by Elector Johann Georg, originally as the kitchen garden of the Berlin Palace. Over the years it was redesigned several times.
