Alzey Castle in the Rhine-Hessian Hills

Burgk Castle rises impressively on the banks of the Upper Saale. Built in the 14th century, the castle is surrounded by an imposing fortification and combines elements from Gothic to Rococo. Even though the façade of the complex appears almost plain, the interior conceals true treasures. In addition to historically preserved living rooms and bedrooms with valuable furnishings, the special collections and the exhibitions of aristocratic art and everyday objects in the museum rooms are particularly worth seeing. Burgk Castle is also particularly popular as a wedding venue. In addition to weddings, concerts are often held in the picturesque castle chapel. A medieval festival also regularly attracts numerous visitors to Burgk Castle.
