If you want to enjoy the view of historic Cadolzburg and the imposing castle from above, it is worth climbing up the 25-metre-high Cadolzburg lookout tower, affectionately known as the “pencil”. In 1893, the striking neo-Gothic tower was erected at a particularly high point in the town with the aim of attracting more visitors to the picturesque town. You can climb up five floors via a wooden staircase. In the middle there is a small balcony and in the upper part you can then reach the covered viewing platform, which offers a wonderful panoramic view of the region on a clear day.
