Old town hall in Dinkelsbühl shows history

The Old Town Hall in Dinkelsbühl’s old town dates back to the 14th century and is now a protected architectural monument. At the end of the 19th century, the building on Altrathausplatz was used as a schoolhouse before the House of History moved into the time-honoured rooms after extensive renovation. In the very elaborate and lovingly designed museum, you can experience the more than 800-year history of the imperial town of Dinkelsbühl in numerous exhibits. In addition to portraits and armour, you can also admire antique weapons and religious sculptures here. Particularly impressive is the information on the witch trials that were regularly held in the Old Town Hall between 1611 and 1709.
