Landmark of Dinkelsbühl: St. George's Church

St. George’s Church in Dinkelsbühl is a late Gothic minster from the 15th century that replaced a Romanesque church that used to stand on the same site. The hall church is located on the market square and is considered one of the town’s landmarks. Particularly noteworthy are the six richly decorated altars, four of which date from the 15th or 16th century. If you are good on your feet, you can climb a total of 222 steps to the viewing platform of St George’s Church. Here visitors can enjoy a unique panoramic view over the roofs of Dinkelsbühl. However, the tour of the tower is only possible on certain days from May to October and only in fine weather.
