Around the most famous sight of the city – the Freiburg Cathedral – is the Münsterplatz. Here there is colorful hustle and bustle almost every day. From Monday to Saturday you can find flowers, fruit, vegetables, cheese, meat and much more at the weekly market. Especially famous is the original Freiburg Münsterwurst, which is also available in a vegetarian and a vegan version. A special highlight is the Freiburg Wine Festival, which takes place every year on Freiburg’s Münsterplatz. Here, wineries from the region present their fine wines and invite visitors to taste wines as well as traditional Baden delicacies. A visit is definitely worthwhile!
