Beautifully situated in the Luebeck Bay, the seaside resort of Haffkrug delights its visitors with the original charm of an old fishing village. In the 70s, the village became an official seaside resort and is thus the oldest spa town in the region. The rural idyll with white sandy beach, pavilions with thatched roofs and a beautiful promenade invites you to relax. Several events attract numerous visitors to Haffkrug, especially in the summer. The best known is the Eel Week, which takes place annually on the last weekend in July. In recent years, plans for the construction of a marina have become known. Due to the necessary intervention in the coastal landscape, this project is very controversial.
