It is known as one of the largest and most beautiful castle ruins in Baden-Württemberg and attracts numerous visitors every year – the medieval castle ruin of Hohennagold. Situated prominently and clearly visible above the town of Nagold, the ruins on the Schlossberg are easily accessible for hikers via several hiking trails through the nature reserve. From here you can enjoy a unique view of the Heckengäu, the Black Forest and, in good weather, the Swabian Alb. At weekends and on public holidays, the DIGEL pavilion, which is run by Nagold clubs, is popular with day trippers. In addition, various events take place regularly throughout the year at the Hohennagold castle ruins.
