Ancestral castle of the Prussian kings

Situated high above the Swabian Alb, Hohenzollern Castle offers a unique view of the Zollernalbkreis region. The castle complex has served as the temporary residence of the princely dynasty or the former ruling Prussian royal and German imperial house of Hohenzollern for almost a thousand years. Today, this place steeped in history attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world every year, who can marvel at the art collection of the Hohenzollern family with the Prussian royal crown. Numerous events such as concerts, exhibitions or the annual Christmas market are also regularly organised at the ancestral castle of the Hohenzollerns. In addition, the “Kira von Preußen Stiftung” (Kira of Prussia Foundation) organises a holiday camp for children here every year.
