If you are looking for a nice place to swim and relax in the Rhine-Main area, Langener Waldsee is the place for you. Located southeast of Frankfurt Airport, the region’s largest leisure and recreation center is especially popular for its lido. With its more than 900 meters of sandy beach, sunbathing lawns, kiosk and camping site, it is a magnet for swimmers, surfers and sailors, especially in summer. Anglers, hikers, joggers and bird watchers also like to come to the Langener Waldsee because of the numerous possibilities. The lake, with a total water surface area of 720,000 m², is also a regular venue for swimming in the Ironman Germany triathlon competition.
