Formerly a pleasure garden, today an event location

The representative garden with the castle square also belongs to the New Castle in the upper town of Meersburg. As befitted a princely residence, a pleasure garden was laid out at the New Castle, which was equipped with a small terrace and a yellow garden pavilion. The ornate design of the grounds was very important for representational purposes at the time. Today, the castle square in particular is a popular backdrop for regular events such as pop concerts or even the International Castle Concerts. Many visitors and also locals like to enjoy a concert here with a view of the lake or treat themselves to some time out in one of the many cafés or restaurants on Schlossplatz.
