If you then continue into Germany’s largest ape enclosure, you’ll come to the main attraction: more than 200 rare Barbary macaques populate the 20-acre woodland. You should definitely buy a bag of popcorn at the entrance; then the monkeys come up close and let you pet them. But be careful: the cunning animals sometimes hit the perplexed visitors on the hand and thus capture the whole bag at once.
