Unique biotope in the Allgäu region

Shortly before the Austrian border in the Allgäu region lies the Scheidegg Waterfalls, a very special geotope. The two waterfalls consist of several rock steps over which the Rickenbach falls 40 meters into the depths. You can marvel at the wildly romantic river landscape, the two 18 and 22 meter high waterfalls as well as the Rohrach gorge from one of the many vantage points. As the largest nature reserve in the Lindau district, the Rohrach Gorge, which is up to 200 meters deep, is home to many rare animals and plants. Children also get their money’s worth at the Scheidegg waterfalls on their own water playground, the geo adventure trail or the fairy tale forest with interactive radio play.
