Built in 2014 on the occasion of the State Garden Show, the Schwäbisch Gmünd Forum Gold und Silber is already a landmark as well as an architectural statement of the well-known gold and silver city. The building’s unique design as a square golden cube with sloping walls, as well as its prominent location in the city, make the Schwäbisch Gmünd Forum Gold und Silber an absolute eye-catcher. The architects have also harmoniously integrated the remains of the Zwingermauer, which was part of the late medieval fortifications, into the building. Smaller façade openings are arranged around an extensive sculpture square and lead into the building. The Forum Gold and Silver houses offices, stores and cafés.
