Architectural masterpiece and light sculpture

Despite its at first glance simple design as a glass cube, the Stuttgart City Library near the main railway station is a pearl of architecture and is considered one of the most beautiful libraries in the world. Particularly impressive is the evening illumination of the façade in a strong blue, which turns the monolithic cube of grey concrete and matt glass into a blue light sculpture. Inside, the Library of the Year 2013 is all white and radiates a clear lightness. The “Lesbar” café is also worth a visit, as is the great roof terrace in summer. Here you have a unique view over the capital of Baden-Württemberg.
