Travemünde beach

Great excursion destinations for families

The beach in Travemünde is popular with hikers and walkers at any time of the year with its up to 20 metre high Brodten cliffs. It stretches from the steep bank in the north-west, interrupted by the Trave estuary, to the Priwall peninsula in the south-east of Travemünde. Especially in summer, however, families with children can be found on the approx. 4.5 kilometre long fine sandy beach. The shallow water, the bathing island with water slide as well as the playground and beach toy hire are perfect for a day at the beach with the family. During the high season in summer, there are numerous free creative and sporting activities on the Nordermole.
