More than 800-year-old town with one of the most beautiful marketplaces in southern Germany

Biberach an der Riß was first mentioned in a document in 1083 and has a long historical past. The old town is well worth seeing. A walk then leads to the market square, which was built as early as the 12th century. The splendid town houses make it one of the most worth seeing in southern Germany. and the market fountain. The town is part of several officially named routes worth seeing, namely the German Half-Timbered House Route, the Upper Swabian Baroque Route and the Upper Swabian Mill Route.
