The "Iditiotenrennbahn" of Friedrichshafen

Friedrichshafen residents also affectionately call it Uferstraße or Idiot Racecourse: the lakeside promenade in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance. Explore Friedrichshafen’s promenade along the harbour railway station with the famous Zeppelin Museum. If you’ve had enough of the unique view of the Swiss shore opposite or the ships and boats arriving and departing, you can venture out onto the water here yourself. The car ferry to Romanshorn, the passenger ships of the White Fleet and the catamaran to Constance depart from the harbour. An excursion to the world-famous flower island of Mainau is also possible from Friedrichshafen. You can also view the waterfront from the water in a pedalo or motorboat.
