Another hotspot that you should definitely not miss is the Düsseldorf Media Harbour. The former commercial harbour impresses with a special combination of listed harbour and modern architecture. In addition to hip and international companies from the media and creative industries, you will also find numerous cafés and restaurants here. A popular photo motif in the Media Harbour is the Neue Zollhof, which was designed by the famous architect Frank O. Gehry. Düsseldorf’s Rhine promenade is also always busy. Here you can take a leisurely stroll along the river or sit on the Rhine steps and watch the passing ships. The inviting steps on the banks of the Rhine are one of the city’s favourite meeting places. The Japanese Garden in Düsseldorf, on the other hand, is a little more tranquil. Located in the north-western part of the Nordpark, the “Garden of Reflection” covers over 5,000 square metres and features artfully trimmed trees, idyllic ponds, stone lanterns and traditional stone carvings made from natural stone. This diverse city on the Rhine has something for everyone!
