If you’re looking for a great destination near Lake Tegernsee, Wallberg is the place to go. The 1,722-high summit of the Mangfall Mountains offers a spectacular view of the Bavarian Alps and the Tegernsee Valley. Pure postcard idyll. Hikers can be found here as well as paragliders and hang-gliders or tobogganers in winter, who like to use the six-kilometer-long natural toboggan run. It is wonderful to relax on the sun terrace of the panorama restaurant, which is also located on the Wallberg. Also worth seeing is the Wallberg-Kircherl – the more than one hundred year old landmark of the Wallberg. From Rottach-Egern, the Wallbergbahn cable car takes excursionists up to the Wallberg plateau at 1,620 meters.
