Würzburg’s Main riverbank and the Main meadows are popular as a meeting place for young and old. Be it at the public barbecue area, the playgrounds or simply on one of the numerous benches with the unique view of the Marienberg Fortress. Along the banks of the Main in Würzburg you also regularly meet walkers, cyclists and joggers who do their laps with the beautiful scenery in the background. A highlight for all skaters is the 1,200-square-metre skate park that has been built on the Zellerauer Mainwiesen on the site of the old washing area. Both professionals and beginners cavort here to practise or refine their latest tricks.
